Restore is committed to coming alongside children, adolescents, adults, couples, & families to help facilitate growth, balance, healing, & wholeness. Common presenting concerns include: grief, depression, anxiety, relationships (including marriage therapy & pre-marital counseling), addictions, eating disorders, stress management, parenting, career transition, & other various stage of life transitions. We will begin with an assessment of the problem, as well as client strengths, and, together, we will develop a plan to target your specific and individual needs.
The therapeutic relationship cultivated in counseling affords a safe space for individuals to be heard & receive the support of someone with an objective point of view. As this takes place, our perspective on the problem often begins to change. We become more resilient and learn to develop better coping strategies & are exposed to expanded resources. In circumstances that once seemed utterly hopeless or empty, a sense of meaning, peace, & joy can now begin to emerge.
Sessions are typically 40-50 minutes in length. It is important for efficient, productive work in sessions that we be respectful of appointment times. Please arrive on time for your session, & understand that if circumstances cause you to be late, the session time may not be extended.
Periodically, I may ask you to complete a “homework” assignment as a component to therapy. This can be an integral catalyst for change and growth. Your willingness to participate outside of therapy sessions will make our time together more productive and will assist you in reaching your therapeutic goals.
